Starting from 23 May 2002, multiple record breaker for marathon roller coaster riding, Richard Rodriguez, 44, a teacher from Chicago, Illinois, USA, spent 104 days on the roller coaster “Expedition Ge Force” in Haßloch, Germany. According to the rules, he had to ride the coaster non-stop for ten hours each and every day, however, during the “summer nights” at Holiday Park, Richard spent 15 hours a day on the ride. The total riding time was 1,112 hours, which equates to 20 circuits every hour, and a total number of 22,240 circuits on “Expedition Ge Force.” One year later, Richard set an even more challenging record. From 10 July to 28 August 2003, he rode “Expedition Ge Force” again, this time almost non-stop – with only a 5 minutes per hour break time allowed. In 49 days he rode 30,000 km (18,642 miles).
